Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the RELAYOTA website and any managed services we offer. The open-source software itself is licensed separately under MIT.

1. Acceptance

By using the RELAYOTA website, cost calculator, or any managed service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Open-Source Software

The RELAYOTA server software is open-source and available under the MIT License. These terms do not restrict your rights under that license. You are free to self-host, modify, and distribute the software in accordance with the MIT License.

3. The Website and Managed Service

We operate https://relayota.com including the cost calculator, waitlist, and (when available) a managed cloud version of RELAYOTA. Use of the website is subject to these terms.

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to distribute malicious, illegal, or infringing content
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when submitting forms
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable law

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

5. Data and Privacy

Use of the service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

6. Intellectual Property

The RELAYOTA name, logo, and website design are our intellectual property. The open-source software code is licensed under MIT as stated in the repository.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100 USD IF YOU HAVE PAID NOTHING.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the updated date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which RELAYOTA operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
